one drop

in the beginning of the social media age, facebook was full of “likes hunters”. we decided to take advantage of this trend in order to do something good.
together with polish humanitarian action (pah) we organized a “social” fundraising called “one like, one drop”. based on the “likes mechanism”, we asked people to support our action. we presented a glass harp – 64 empty glasses which needed water to be tuned.
each new follower meant one drop of water for our instrument. we had a week to convince media and people on facebook to support us. the deadline was set on the 22nd of march – the world water day.
and yes! we succeeded. we gained 40 000 new followers for pah's facebook profile, we found a sponsor who decided to build a new well in south sudan and for all participants we played a special version of “fragile” by sting.
